Roundtable with Daniel Trabucchi & Tommaso Buganza – Redefining Innovation through Platform Thinking

Redefining Innovation through Platform Thinking

Digital Platforms like Uber, Spotify, Airbnb,, and many others have completely reshaped the daily lives of millions of users. However, many innovation leaders struggle to conceive the significance of their impact.

Platform-based business models are not just the reality of startups, digital natives, and unicorns. They have created an incredible number of possibilities for making customers and other stakeholders active participants, not just end receivers, of value creation. Platform thinking has the potential to create new value for any type of organization.

In this roundtable, strategists will learn:

  • The basic definition of a platform, how it has changed over time, and how it expands past what have come to think of the Airbnb/Uber archetypes of platforms
  • The role of disruptive technologies on platforms
  • Different types of platforms and how they create value between users
  • How platform thinking can help business leaders reevaluate and rewrite their business models
