Frequently Asked Questions

Members participate in roundtable discussions, challenge forums, networking events, and 1:1 connections made by the OSN team based on your current challenges and needs.  Events and connections happen at both in-person events and virtually online.  Modes of communication/connection include email, texting/text groups, phone, LinkedIn, etc. We find many members  engage in other self/individually oriented ways (coffee, dinner, meeting at conferences, etc, and form personal relationships beyond just business.

The application process begins with an initial screening-discovery call with a senior-leader of the OSN team to determine if the applicant is a fit in terms of their role and organization size, sharing the four OSN cultural values, and their reason for joining the network. Applicants that pass the first screening call then have two additional calls with existing OSN members who verify cultural fit and that an applicant will be a positive addition to the community. The following step following the OSN member calls is invoicing and official onboarding- setting up your OSN member platform profile, selecting your top challenge to arrange for your first “challenge forum”, and making any initial high-value 1:1 introductions and connections.

The Outthinker Strategy Network membership body is comprised of a diverse set of individual strategists from across industries. We believe that there is much to be learned from others. While other businesses/industries may appear very different in terms of their core product or service – it is remarkable how similar the challenges they face may be. OSN members benefit from the open and honest conversations they can have with strategists from other industries who give a different perspective and may have experience with a certain trend or challenge that hit their industry before yours.

Yes. Outthinker Strategy Network members benefit in a variety of ways from the Outthinker partner ecosystem. Benefits include exclusive and prestigious panel opportunities, exclusive invitations and discounts for events, opportunities to be quoted in tier-1 business media, and early access to research from organizations.  Some examples of our partners include The World Innovation Network, The Business Ecosystem Alliance, and other business strategy and innovation focused groups.

Currently there are two subgroups of the Outthinker Strategy Network. These two groups are distinguished based on annual revenue of the business they lead strategy for. The two groups are:

  1. OSN Large Enterprise ($1B+ revenue)
  2. OSN Growth Mid-Market ($100M-$900M revenue)
If you are a chief strategy officer or the executive that leads strategy for a business with less than $100M revenue we do not currently have a community to serve you but want to do what we can. Send us an email if this interests you and we can add you to the waitlist and be among the first notified when this community launches. You can join the waitlist HERE.

The Outthinker Strategy Network has 4 cultural values that we screen for in all of our members. These are….\

  1. Life-long learner
  2. Future-oriented
  3. Innovative thinker also focused on impact and outcomes
  4. Smart enough to be humble

If you share these values and lead strategy for a company with $100-$900M or $1B+ revenue you are welcome to apply.

If you lead strategy and share these values, but don’t work at a big enough company there are still ways to be a part of the community.
