Felix Oberholzer-Gee is the Andreas Andresen Professor of Business Administration in the Strategy Unit at Harvard Business School. A member of the faculty since 2003, Professor Oberholzer-Gee received his Masters degree, summa cum laude, and his Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Zurich. His first faculty position was at the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. He currently teaches competitive strategy in executive education programs such as the Program for Leadership Development, the Senior Executive Program for China, and in a program for media executives titled Effective Strategies for Media Companies. His course Strategies Beyond the Market is a popular elective class for second-year MBA students. Professor Oberholzer-Gee won numerous awards for excellence in teaching, including the Harvard Business School Class of 2006 Faculty Teaching Award for best teacher in the core curriculum, and the 2002 Helen Kardon Moss Anvil Award for best teacher in the Wharton MBA program. Prior to his academic career, Professor Oberholzer-Gee served as managing director of Symo Electronics, a Swiss-based process control company.
Tsedal Neeley (@tsedal) is the Naylor Fitzhugh Professor of Business Administration, Senior Associate Dean of Faculty Development and Research Strategy, and Faculty Chair of the Christensen Center for Teaching and Learning at the Harvard Business School. Tsedal has popular online courses including Remote Work Revolution for Everyone and Leading in a Remote Environment (with Ronald Heifetz). She co-chairs the executive offering, Leading Global Businesses, which helps top leaders develop emerging and mature market strategies in a global and increasingly digital economy. She also teaches extensively in executive programs such as the Harvard Business Analytics Program. She has previously been the course head for the first-year required Leadership and Organizational Behavior course in the MBA program that focuses on how to lead effectively; the curriculum addresses group behavior and performance, organization design, change and how to align people behind a common vision.
Prior to her academic career, Tsedal spent ten years working for companies like Lucent Technologies and The Forum Corporation in various roles, including strategies for global customer experience, 360-degree performance software management systems, sales force/sales management development, and business flow analysis for telecommunication infrastructures. A sought-after speaker with extensive international experience, she is fluent in four languages. Tsedal is a recipient of the prestigious Charles M. Williams Award for Outstanding Teaching in Executive Education and the Greenhill Award for outstanding contributions to Harvard Business School (two-time recipient). Dan Toma is a founding partner at Outcome, where he helps large companies transform to be able to innovate for the future while running their core business. Dan holds a dual MBA degree. He co-authored The Corporate Startup, which was awarded the 2018 Management Book of the Year Award for Innovation and Entrepreneurship by the Chartered Management Institute. Dan worked as a consultant for several companies, including Bosch, Bayer, John Deere, Deutsche Telekom, and The World Bank. Mark L. Sirower and Jefferey M. Weirens
Mark L. Sirower is a U.S. Leader in Deloitte’s M&A and Restructuring practice, where he joined in 2008 to launch the M&A Strategy practice. Thomas W. Malone
Thomas W. Malone is the Patrick J. McGovern Professor of Management, a professor of information technology, and a professor of work and organizational studies at the MIT Sloan School of Management. He is also the founding director of the MIT Center for Collective Intelligence and was one of the two founding co-directors of the MIT Initiative on “Inventing the Organizations of the 21st Century”. Malone is the author of The Future of Work and more than 100 articles, research papers, and book chapters. He has also been a cofounder of four software companies, an inventor on eleven patents, and a coeditor of four books.
Chae An (and IBM colleagues)
Chae An is the CTO of IBM’s Global Financial Services Sector, and has worldwide responsibility for the technical strategy and architecture for business solutions for IBM’s customers in financial services. He provides architectural guidance, leadership, and strategy on new blockchain technical innovations and digital transformation. Prior to his current position, he held various technical and executive management positions at IBM Software Group and IBM Research, leading research in robotics, supply chain optimization, e-Commerce technologies, and analytics for decision support. Chae is a member of the board at the Banking Industry Architecture Network. Chae received his PhD at MIT in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science with the focus on Robotics.
George S. Day
George S. Day is the Geoffrey T. Boisi Professor Emeritus at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. His primary areas of activity are marketing, strategy making, organic growth and innovation, organizational change, and competitive strategies in global markets. Dr. Day has authored eighteen books in the areas of marketing and strategic management. He has won ten best article awards, one best book award, and two of his articles were among the top 25 most influential articles in marketing science in the past 25 years.
Bharat Anand is the Henry R. Byers Professor of Business Administration in the Strategy Unit at Harvard Business School, faculty chair of the HBX initiative, and an expert in multi-business strategy. with a primary focus on media and entertainment. His recent book, The Content Trap, examines digital transformation in the media and entertainment industries, with a view to understanding what we can learn from nearly a quarter century of change.
Peter S. Fader is the Frances and Pei-Yuan Chia Professor of Marketing at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. His expertise centers around the analysis of behavioral data to understand and forecast customer shopping/purchasing activities. Managerial applications focus on topics such as customer relationship management, lifetime value of the customer, and sales forecasting for new products. Much of his research highlights the consistent (but often surprising) behavioral patterns that exist across these industries and other seemingly different domains.
Glenn Finch serves as the Global Leader for Technology and Data in the Business Analytics and Strategy practice at IBM. Dr. Clemons is Professor of Operations, Information and Decisions at The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
